Carlos Valdes Says It 'Would Be Fun' to Revisit "The Flash "Now That He's 'Spent Enough Time Away from It' (Exclusive)

The actor, 36, made his TV debut back in 2014 on The CW'sArrowas S.T.A.R. Labs engineer Cisco Ramón, a.k.a. superhero Vibe, before becoming a regular on the spin-off seriesThe Flash. Valdes, who is currentlystarring as Orpheus inHadestownon Broadway, tells PEOPLE he's not exactly sure whether he misses playing the super powered character. "I do and don't," he says. "I've spent enough years away fromThe Flashand the character to be able to look back on that experience with fondness and nostalgia." After starring inThe Flashand appearing in various"Arrowverse" series and crossovers, Valdes left the show in 2021, during its seventh season. "It would be fun to revisit that," he says of the franchise, "because I've spent enough time away from it, for sure." "At the same time," he continues, "it's kind of like looking at naked baby photos. "I'm so grateful for the experience, and it was so illuminating and so joyful in so many respects," he explains.
