Little Caesars' New Artisan Pizzas Are Causing Quite a Stiroriginally appeared onParade. Little Caesars has a reputation among the big national pizza chains. It may not be the highest-quality pizza, but it's usually the cheapest and fastest. After all, Little Caesars is famous for its $5 Hot-N-Ready (which, like Subway's famed $5 footlong, has increased in price with inflation). But now, the Detroit-based pizza chain is introducing three new "artisinal-style" pizzas to step up its game. Rather than traditional round pizzas, these are long and oval-shaped, looking more like a flatbread you would get at a trendy restaurant. Brand Eatingreports that the pizzas will be available for a limited time in select test markets. Instead of traditional plain cheese, there's the Bruschetta Artisan-Style Pizza, which comes with a creamy white garlic sauce and a three-cheese blend, topped with seasoned chopped tomatoes. Then, there's the Cheesy Garlic Chicken Artisan-Style Pizza, which has the same white garlic sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, and chunks of chicken. The Double Pepperoni Artisan-Style Pizza comes with a traditional red sauce and mozzarella cheese and is topped with two types of pepperoni: "old world" and "classic." 🍳SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & fun food news in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter🍳 Despite the attempt to put on a black tie and look sophisticated,Redditusers remain skeptical toward Little Caesars' attempt to class climb. "It looks like marketplace flatbreads you can get at walmart," one user wrote, seeing right through the charade. Another user agreed, urging the chain to lean into its core demographic. "Your wheelhouse is catering to people who like cheap pizzas and stadium pretzels." That might not even be enough, though. These new pizzas will be priced at $6.99 in most of the test markets, but those may be the exception rather than the norm. "Thin crust pepperoni is $9-10 most locations," a Redditor pointed out. "Little Caesars is no longer a value proposition."
