The dress, the outlet said, was made with "heavy silk satin fabric" and featured a corset bodice. Lovato paired it with a long cathedral-style veil, whichVoguereported was made from ivory tulle. The publication said the dress was perfected over five fittings that took place in Los Angeles, with the Vivienne Westwood couture team traveling to and from London to get it just right for Lovato. The "Heart Attack" singer was inspired by another Vivienne Westwood dress she saw on the internet. Using that gown, Lovato and the design team made changes to create the wedding dress of the star's dreams. That gown was a "ivory silk satin column dress with a draped corset top," the outlet said, adding that it "featured broken pearls cascading from the neckline." Working with the brand, Lovato toldVogue, was a no-brainer. "I have been a fan of Vivienne Westwood's designs for a long time," she said. "When I was thinking about [what dress style I wanted] I often found myself coming back to Vivienne's designs—specifically how the silhouettes really compliment the curves in your body, and her use of corsets," added Lovato.
