Although he didn't attend the 2024 ACMs, he and his wife,Faith Hill, made an appearance at the 2023 show. Meanwhile, the last time McGraw attended the AMAs was in 2016 when he accepted the award for Favorite Country Song for his track "Humble and Kind." He brought his daughter,Maggie, as his plus-one for the red carpet event. In addition to not being a regular attendee of the AMAs, McGraw has dealt with serious health struggles over the past year. "To have almost a year of just sitting there, and I can tell you that after double knee replacements and three back surgeries and now a torn rotator cuff and a ruptured disc, there were times this year that I thought this might be it," he boldly admitted. "This might be time to hang it up." However, fans were thrilled whenMcGraw made a major career announcementon May 6: his big return to performing. The "I Like It, I Love It" singer will headline the Music City Rodeo on May 31 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
