"9-1-1 "Won't Name a New Captain at Station 118 in the Season Finale. Why Oliver Stark Thinks It's 'Wise' (Exclusive)

Disney/Chris Willard 9-1-1will have to wait a bit longer to find out who the new Station 118 captain is following the shocking death of Bobby Nash (Peter Krause). Oliver Starktold PEOPLE on the red carpet at the Disney 2025 Upfront presentation in New York on Tuesday, May 13 that a new chief won't be revealed by the end of the ABC series' eight season. "The chair will be empty come the end of the season," the 33-year-old actor — who plays Evan "Buck" Buckley on the show — explained. "Which I think is wise because it gives some time to let the dust settle and let the chips land where they may and and you know, let these people grieve and then we can start to see what the future will look like." John Nacion/WireImage When asked who should become the next chief of Station 118, Stark joked, "Ravi. No, definitely not Ravi," referring to Anirudh Pisharody's character. Instead, he suggested that Howard "Chimney" Han (Kenneth Choi) and Henrietta "Hen" Wilson (Aisha Hinds) might be better fits for the job. "I think Chimney would be the next choice, experience wise, skill wise, leadership ability wise, and just overall good person wise," he said. "If not Hen, my vote goes to Chimney." On the April 17 episode of9-1-1, Bobbysacrificed himselfby using the final antidote for the Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever to save Chimney (Kenneth Choi). Krause, 59, explained the shocking death in a statement toVariety, calling the move "more than a bold creative choice on a bold show." "Bobby Nash was written in sacrifice and he was built for this. First responders risk their lives on the job so that others can see another day," the actor explained at the time. "His story arc honors them." Krause's costarAngela Bassett, who plays Sgt. Athena Grant-Nash and Bobby's wife on the show, told PEOPLE at the2025 Met Galaearlier this month that she is still coming to terms with the loss. Bruce Springsteen Calls Trump Administration 'Corrupt, Incompetent, and Treasonous'New Foto - Bruce Springsteen Calls Trump Administration 'Corrupt, Incompetent, and Treasonous'

After some initial reluctance, Bruce Springsteen has increasingly sounded off about the presidential administrations of Donald J. Trump. Asked during a cover-storyinterview withVarietyin 2017why he hadn't been more critical, he said, "Well, if you read Charles Blow in The New York Times, he carries the flag pretty well. I'm ambivalent about … sort of getting on a soapbox. I still believe people fundamentally come to music to be entertained — yes, to address their daily concerns, and yes, also to address political topics, I believe music can do that well. But I still believe fundamentally it's an affair of the heart." Donald Trump is running to be an American tyrant," he said. "He does not understand this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American. And that's why November 5, I'm casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I urge all of you who believe in the American way to join me." Well, the world knows the way the election went, but on Wednesday in Manchester, England, on the opening night of his European tour with his E Street Band, Springsteen let loose again. "The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock 'n roll in dangerous times," he told the crowd. "In my home, the America I love, the America I've written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration. Tonight we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experiment to rise with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring!" Paltrow wore a similar look in 2002 during Chanel's fashion show at the Accelerated School. For the fashionable day out, Paltow donned a loose-fitting, white knit set with delicate gold chain details. Underneath the jacket, she wore a black high-neck tank top that showed a hint of skin, much like how her daughter did several years in the future. Gwyneth Paltrow/Instagram Martin accessorized with round black sunglasses and a black leather bag; her natural waves fell effortlessly at her shoulders and cascaded down the top of the coat. Seth Rogen Reveals Why He Wrote "The Studio" with Dave Franco 'Specifically' in Mind for That Hilarious Storyline (Exclusive)

"Honestly, there were very few people that could have filled the roles that the people had filled becausewe really specifically were catering the stories to certain traits that celebrities have," Rogen, 43, tells PEOPLE of crafting Franco's hilarious, multi-episode storyline. "With Dave, it's like, who do you believe would be in aRon Howardmovie? It's a pretty dramatic movie, who could do that? But also, we knew that he would come back and do this truly ridiculous, stupid thing later in the season." Apple TV+ Franco, 39, "always had a big, happy smile on his face" on set, saysCatherine O'Hara, who plays Rogen's former boss on the show, andthe rest of the castagrees. "Always. Barinholtz excitedly recalls that Franco's character was known for having "pissed his pants" in the 2007 comedy, and Rogen says, "I know. He was like 15 or 16 or something like that.
