Taylor Frankie Paul's family isn't holding back their opinions on the trials and tribulations the reality star has been facing. Mom Liann, stepdad Jeremy, and siblings Aspyn and Hunter all make appearances on the second season ofThe Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. While they've all served as confidants for Taylor in the past, the family tells her they're getting weary of being her shoulder to cry on in a tense family dinner scene viewers are buzzing over. Taylor shows up at her mom's house for a family barbecue, only to learn that her mom invited Dakota Mortensen. In a confessional, the MomToker explains that she's "struggling" in the relationship, "but it's hard because my parents really want us to give our all before we say we quit." In a confessional of his own, Dakota explains, "My goal is always to be with Taylor to have our family together, but I think the only way to have a lasting relationship is, you have to get really good at forgiving each other and not go backwards. I want to truly try to go forward." Jeremy adds, "You guys started your relationship on a foundation of s---." "Be honest," he continues, addressing each of them. "You didn't heal from your divorce. You have a ton of baggage." Dakota starts to tear up, and Hunter notes it's an indication that he's a "good human." Hunter then says it doesn't seem like Taylor's ever put 100% into the relationship. Taylor says she feels betrayed by Dakota's lies about other girls at the beginning of their relationship and has felt like "trash" to him. "Here's the thing, and I'm just going to be blunt honest," Jeremy says. "He's here telling me you only saw each other three times before all of this, and you're sitting here telling me that he came over and had sex with you. What does that say about you? I'm not pointing fingers but..." "That's what I'm saying. I was trash," Taylor says. In a confessional, she tearfully admits, "I guess what I'm hearing is, 'You deserve what you got because you like gave it up so easily.' That's what I hear, and when you hear your parents say that, like, 'Why were you expecting to be respected?' It hurts. It just confirms my insecurities and my beliefs about myself." Dakota tries to defend himself, saying, "That's the biggest lie I've ever seen in my life, and I'm not gonna let you keep saying that." "And when you're asking me to come over at night all the time, what is that telling me as a guy to ask that? Because I've already told you, Taylor, you're forgetting that I'm coming from a very broken place, too. That matters," he lashes out. He adds, "You can't just disregard the s--- that I just went through and where I was at in my life. Hunter continues to urge Taylor to "give an inch so he can walk a mile." She says she feels "judged" and "unheard" as they tell her Dakota didn't cheat because, Liann points out, they "weren't really together." She advises her daughter that she needs to "give him some grace" and start over. "Honestly, I think you guys need to be separated and stay separated. You need to work, focus on you. You need to keep going to therapy, and you need to give yourself grace," Aspyn says through her own tears. When you guys are together, you can tell, and you need to do what's best for him. And I'm sorry, it's staying separated right now." She continues, "If God really did send him to you, he will bring him back to you. It's you and Satan in your own head, and it's eating you alive. Put it in God's hands, because I honestly think it'll blossom after." Taylor tells them she feels God punished her for the swinging scandal by making her feel what she did to someone else. Her sister begins to get upset and tells her, "God isn't like that." In a confessional, Taylor explains, "As angry and as mad as I am, shutting the door is just not gonna happen right now. I feel like I still obviously have lots of feelings towards him. I do love Dakota. That's why I'm in so much pain." During a later visit with the family, Taylor admits to Liann and Aspyn that she's still sleeping with Dakota, and he considers her the "dude in the relationship" because she can keep emotional intimacy separate from sex. Aspyn tells her to imagine she's giving advice to her daughter and think of what she would tell her in this scenario. While Taylor does concede they have "a point," it's not the end of the conversation. During another gathering, they try a more supportive approach with Taylor where it comes to Dakota and the ultimatum he presented her with. Taylor caught her mom up about MomTok's drama with her around her CMA appearance. Liann says Demi wants to be the "queen bee" and asks Taylor if she feels deserving of the event. She wants to stand up for Taylor. But I'm just like, 'Why are you enabling this behavior? Why do you think we're in the wrong right now? Why isn't your daughter in the wrong? How can you not see that?' " Whitney says in a confessional. Liann cries and tells them Taylor is "a great person and the one that brought you guys all together, whether you think so or not." "When she was in her deepest part of her life, all her friends just disowned her. And to see her friends, her so-called friends bash her..." Liann continues. Demi says Taylor always gets a pass for what she's going through, and they all go through things. Getting angrier, Demi tells Liann, "She does not get my sympathy anymore. She needs to get help. She needs to go to therapy, and she needs to go be a f------ mom." "Whatever Taylor's going through, I pray she gets the help she needs," Whitney says before excusing herself from the conversation. Shortly after, Liann hugs Demi before she leaves in tears. In a confessional, Demi says, "I understand Liann getting emotional. What I'm having a really hard time with is you're sitting in front of people that she's been a dogs--- friend to. It's giving manipulation. Move it along."
