Spike Lee reveals one thing he 'would give up an Academy Award' for

Al Bello/Getty Spike Leeis known for his love of the New York Knicks, but this is extreme. At Thursday's Eastern Conference final game of the 2025 NBA championship, which his team won 111-94 over the Indiana Pacers, he offered up one of the honors he's received for his decades-long career in the entertainment industry in exchange for the title. Spike: "I would give up an Academy Award. The former Phoenix Suns player responded, "Well, you're gonna keep 'em!" The men laughed, and Lee, who can regularly be spotted courtside, replied that the basketball legend didn't have to say that. Even after their win, the Knicks are still fighting to stay alive. The Pacers lead them 3-2, and the first team to win four games advances to the overall NBA championship finals. They last won in 1973. Lee took home his first Oscar in 2016, when he received an honorary award for his contributions to film, which includes titles such asDo the Right Thing,Malcolm X, andJungle Fever. In 2019, he won the category of Best Adapted Screenplay for hisBlacKkKlansman. He was nominated for best director and best picture, too, but lost. Biles wrote over the image, which showed two of the toys dressed in matching black and brown Gucci outfits and bucket hats. "I can't tell, but since I'm in Asia, I just HAD TO," she continued on the post, referring to her current Hong Kong travels. According to theofficial website, Labubu Dolls are "a devilish but cute monster with pointed ears, a charmingly mischievous smile, and very sharp teeth." The plush pets rose to fame, first in Asia, after K-POP starLisarevealedthat she was a fan. Biles has been showing off her travels since the pro athlete and her NFL husband Jonathan Owens, 29, are in the off-season of their respective sports. NBC Jenna Bush Hager and Justin Sylvester, her co-host onToday with Jenna & Friendson Thursday, May 29, hilariously recounted their experience at Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour Sylvester revealed that Bush Hager had left a clip-in hair extension in their car home from the concert, saying, "The baby girl was dancing so hard, she lost a clip-in at 'Single Ladies.' " "I was wondering where that went," Bush Hager quipped Jenna Bush Hagerhad the time of her life watchingBeyoncéon her Cowboy Carter Tour. Bush Hager, 43, hilariously recounted her experience attending the singer's concert withJustin Sylvesteron the Thursday, May 29, edition ofToday with Jenna & Friends. Sylvester, 38, who attended the concert with her, was her co-host for the day. As the two opened up about their night while wearing Cowboy Carter Tour-inspired sashes, it was revealed that Bush Hager lost a clip-in extension because she was dancing so hard. NBC "We were in a secret elevator and in the car and at home before the concert even ended," said Sylvester. Bush Hager said that she was in "full panic" as she has been "preconditioned" to avoid traffic. After leaving the concert, she was fast asleep when the landline in her hotel room rang. "I'm like, 'Hello?' I think it's an emergency and I guess it was of some sorts. 'Hello?' It was Justin," Bush Hager said. "I was asleep. He's like 'Hello? Jenna'. I'm like, 'Justin what are you doing? This ain't 1980. We're not chatting. I'm going to sleep. I have to wake up at 4:50.' " Sylvester and Bush Hager both agreed that she was "confused" because she'd been asleep. He then teased her for falling asleep 10 minutes after she was dropped off, to which Bush Hager said it was actually "30 minutes," before revealing the reason for his call. Going on to share how Sylvester had left his phone in their car home, Bush Hager said Sylvester asked her to call their mutual Jamie, before noting that she was proud of Sylvester for showing up to the show. "You should be so lucky that I got my phone back last night from the car because you also left something in the car, so I got it for you," Sylvester teased.
