In the model'sMay 22 Substack post, she called this year's Met Gala her "calmest one yet," despite having to make a last minute decision regarding her wardrobe because of an oil spill that occurred just before she was scheduled to hit the event. The model dressed on theme for the "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" theme and the "Tailored For You" dress code, and wore a figure hugging, grey and white pinstripe ensemble custom made by BOSS. But ahead of the event, she accidentally spilled mint oil on the bust portion of her dress. Getty Images "I would say my only regret is that I didn't have more brooches," she wrote in the essay. "The reason I even hadonebrooch is because of my last-minute oil spill." Detailing the final moments before leaving her hotel, Graham recalled, "I yanked my shoes on and we ran downstairs (the elevator stopped working!) and tried out best to get it out. But sure enough, we all realized there's nothing that's going to help, except for some Dawn and a dry cleaner possibly." She continued, "Our game time decision: Well, I am tooting my own horn here...it was my bright idea to use a diamond spectrum from Nikos Koulis as a brooch." Graham's Nikos Koulis brooch was a diamond encrusted open loop that wrapped around the discoloration of the oil stain perfectly. Arturo Holmes/MG25/Getty While the model attended with just one brooch on her person, it wasn't the only piece of Nikos Koulis jewelry she wore to the Met Gala — she completed the look with a set of ornate dangling earrings that formed a cuff around her ear. She also accessorized her outfit with a satin pocket square. The 37-year-old shared behind-the-scenes photo of her 2025 Met Gala experienceto Instagram, including a look at her team trying to remove the oil stain with a hair dryer (and failing), and a photo of her being excited when the sparking brooch was the perfect fix to the issue.
