Love Is Blindstars Lauren and Cameron Hamilton have seen "light in the darkness" after revealing that they're expecting their first baby together amid an emotional four-year fertility journey. TheNetflixpersonalities announced their pregnancy in a new interview withPEOPLE, in which they recounted the emotional process that also included grieving Lauren's father, who died in late 2024 — months before the couple found out they were pregnant. "I lost my father [at] Christmas of last year," Lauren told the publication. "And so we took this test the end of January, beginning of February, so this was literally light in the darkness. This was like, wow. The spark that my whole family needed. We've been trying for a long time." The couple confirmed that their pregnancy journey has been a four-year process, after they met, fell in love, and married after appearing on season 1 of the popular streaming dating series in 2020. Lauren Speed-Hamilton/Instagram "It was a little bittersweet because my dad's not here physically to be with us, but we know that he's watching over us," Lauren added. "So it was just like, 'Wow, I can't believe this.' We just felt so blessed, so grateful and happy, excited. Then it hit like, 'We're going to be parents. Oh my God.'" Cameron noted that the couple was "counting down the days until we could test, because we did IVF," remembering the "huge moment" for the pair when they first saw "the word pregnant on the test" — an instance Lauren called "a relief" for the couple to witness. "Because, well, we've taken a few pregnancy tests and when you use the ones with the lines, it could be anxiety driven because it's like, 'Is that what I think?' So seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing. We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried," Lauren recalled. The pair said that they've also consulted theirLove Is Blindcostars for advice on parenting — particularly Amber and Matt Barnett. "Amber is full of advice," Lauren said. "She's giving me the real, real lowdown advice."
