Speaking with music journalistZane Lowe, Cyrus admitted that Parton wasn't fond of her albumEndless Summer Vacation. "She didn't love my Vacation era. She's like, 'Everyone's asking me where you are, and I'm wondering the same thing. Every day it's just you in a bikini, but like, what are you gonna do?"' Cyrus explained. When theFlowerssinger revealed to Parton that she was already working on a new project while finishing herEndless Summer Vacationalbum, Parton was not thrilled. "She picked me up from my house, so I had 45 minutes in a trapped car on the way to her house, so there was no escaping the talking to that I was getting," Cyrus claimed adding that Parton, "Came in hot" telling her 'That's not what you do with a project.'" Most recently, Parton was brutally honest with Cyrus when she played her new songSomething Beautiful, off of her upcoming album of the same name. Parton said the tune was alright, but wondered if her goddaughter had any real hits on her soon-to-be-released album. Even though Parton can be Cyrus' biggest critic, she's also her biggest fan. TheJolenesinger is all about helping Cyrus reach her potential and success. Cyrus listens to Parton's advice, too. She admitted that on her new album, two songs were born out of Parton pressing Cyrus for more music when she didn't love a couple of the songs.
