Last night on Season 27 ofThe Voice,in a twist, the Top 8 became the Top 12 when coachesAdam Levine,Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend,andMichael Bublérevealed their choices for the Super Save, each returning one of their previously eliminated artists to compete. Tonight,The Voicekicked off the first results show of Season 27 when the Top 12 learned which five of them would be going through to the finale and which seven of them would be going home. The way the results worked was as follows: The four artists with the highest votes were automatically put through and then the middle four had to sing in the Instant Save for America's second vote for the one remaining spot. It's the 20th anniversary of his albumGet Lifted. Carson called the Top 12 to the stage to begin the reveal. The first artist moving into the Top 5 from Team Legend was RENZO. The second finalist moving forward from Team Adam was Lucia Flores-Weisman. The third artist moving into the finales from Team Bublé was Jadyn Cree. The fourth finalist was Team Kelsea's Super Save Jaelen Johnson. Then before the Instant Saves began, Kelsea Ballerini took the stage withKaren Fairchild,Alysa Vanderheym, Hillary LindseyandJessie Jo Dillonperforming "Baggage." Performing first was Olivia Kuper Harris with "Rainbow" byKacey Musgraves. John said, "It was beautiful. It is beautiful every single time. I have loved working with you. Every time you perform you bring such artistry and musicality to everything you do. Your voice is exquisite. Such a magical gift." Next, Adam David took the stage withTeddy Swims' "Lose Control." Michael told him, "You feel the spirit. I have more than anything become a fan of you. I talk to you every couple of days. I'm so proud of you. You were a one-chair turn. As a coach, we don't always get it right. I know America always gets it right." Performing third was Iris Herrera with "Rocketman" byElton John. Kelsea told her, "Every time you step on the stage you give us something different, you show more of yourself. You are such an artist, such an individual. This is one of the best performances you've done on this show." The final performance was from Bryson Battle with "Talking to the Moon" byBruno Mars. John told him: "I find it difficult to even talk about this because I did not think you would be in this position today. Throughout this competition you have given us performances that said you should be in the finale of this show. You continue to be the epitome of what this show is all about.
