The pair, who both served on the esteemed jury of the festival this year, posed together on the red carpet during arrivals for the closing ceremony, and it was then that the dress malfunction caused a bit of a stir. Berry, 58, was wearing a gorgeous beige short-sleeved gown with stunning lace detailing throughout the dress, while Binoche, 61, rocked a stylish navy blue culotte and jacket combo with beaded detailing and a white and red ringer t-shirt underneath to tie the business casual (with a twist, of course) look together. However, when Berry and Binochet got close for photographs, it seems as though theMonster's Ballactress' lace detailing may have gotten stuck on theThe English Patientstar's beaded detailing. They spent some time huddled together even closer than they were for taking photos, with Binoche supporting and helping Berry unhook herself and her gown from where they were stuck together. Even some other attendees on the carpet had to step in to help out. It happens, folks, even at Cannes! Berry and Binoche both made many appearances throughout the Cannes Film Festival this year as members of the festival's main jury, which is responsible for determining the main slate of winners out of the films that are in competition at the festival. Berry looked particularly stunning when sheattended the Chopard Universe dinnerduring the festival on May 19 while rocking a gorgeous deep red gown with corset detailing and an impressive skirt that features a sturdy piece that mimics a wave and turns into the dress' train. Berry has also been rocking a short bob for some time now, and it's no surprise that the short style suits her well — after all, she is perhaps best known, when it comes to her looks, for her signature pixie cut. Back in November 2021, she opened up toVogueabout her initial decision to cut her hair into that style, all the way back in the early days of her career. "As a young actress, I was going on auditions and every audition I saw another Black girl, just like me, [with] big, curly hair. And I felt like every casting director just went, 'Uh, You.' And that's who got the job. So this was on purpose," she revealed during the interview. "It was very much designed to set myself apart from the other women I was going up against on my auditions.
