The proud mom shared that despite preparing her body for labor, using activities like acupuncture, yoga, and pelvic-floor therapy, she didn't have the spontaneous, easy delivery she hoped for. "Giving birth was the hardest thing I've ever done," she told the outlet. "I was on that s---. I was doing everything.I felt stronger physically than I ever had before." Doctors gave her Pitocin, a medication used to provoke contractions, and a Foley balloon, which is a catheter-​like device that gets the cervix to dilate. "That s--- was so crazy," she said of the experience. "That was not fun. They broke my water. I went into labor and I labored for a few hours. No epidural, nothing." Hailey shared withVoguethat her labor lasted 18 hours from the beginning to the birth of her baby boy. After delivering Jack, Hailey had a postpartum hemorrhage, a potentially life-threatening condition of severe or excessive bleeding after childbirth, perCleveland Clinic, which the model admitted was "a little bit scary." "I trust my doctor with my life, and so I had peace that I knew she would never let anything happen to me. But I was bleeding really badly, and people die, and the thought crosses your mind." Hailey toldVoguethat she also had to address the onslaught of hate comments that she's received in recent months and ongoing speculations about her marriage. "Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I've ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult," she told the outlet. "And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, 'They'regetting divorced' and 'They're this' and 'They're not happy,' it is such a mindf----."
