TheJersey Shorealum, 38, revealed that she is expecting a boy, sharing the news with PEOPLE exclusively. Giancola, who is pregnant with her first baby with fiancé Justin May, found out the exciting news on the Seaside Boardwalk along with the rest of herJersey Shore: Family Vacationcast. "It's just so iconic because me and my roommates, we've basically grew up here in Seaside and also me and Justin met here in Seaside," Giancola, who found out the sex of her baby after seeing the ferris wheel light up blue, tells PEOPLE. "It's just very sentimental, meaningful all around." Giancola says that although they "had a feeling" it might be a boy, she and her fiancé are just happy to be pregnant. "I think we were just happy to have a healthy baby," she says. "We didn't care about gender at all, but we kind of had a feeling what it was." Now that they have know they're having a boy, Giancola and May say they're excited to start thinking about activities they can do as a family together. "I can't wait to just play sports," says May. "Teaching my kid, coaching the Little League teams and stuff. It's going to be exciting." "That makes my heart melt," Giancola sweetly responds. "Yeah, I'm just happy to have any baby. To be honest. I'm like, it's a boy. I'm one of three girls, so I have two sisters. So for me, it's very exciting to have a boy." "They're actually all amazing parents and they're very inspiring and I feel like they have given us great advice. I love what they told us" she explains. "They know the ins and outs of parenthood for sure." In February, Giancola shared thatshe is pregnant and expecting her first babywith her fiancéJustin May. The couple shared the happy news via a jointInstagram poston Feb. 23, with Giancola writing, "We've been keeping a little secret… ✨Baby May Due August 2025✨🤰🏻." "After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for!" she said. "We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can't wait to meet you baby! 🫶🏼🥹💕." The reality star's happy news came just months after she opened up about the "devastating" miscarriage she experienced before she and Maygot engagedon March 16, 2024. Although she did become pregnant, the embryo did not survive, and she had a miscarriage. "This has been a very long process. It's been a lot of shots, it's been a lot of hormones," she said in a confessional. "Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away. It's devastating for me." Giancola went on to praise May for lovingly supporting her through the ups and downs of the couple'sIVF journey. "He's so positive and uplifting," she said.
